To prepare the icing mixture you will need one egg. Separate the egg white from the yolk and whisk the egg white for around 5 to 7 minutes until stiff peaks form. Carefully fold the icing sugar into the mixture, then place it into the decorating bag and decorate your biscuits. Cut the twine into equal lengths and tie around the biscuits ready to hang on your Christmas tree.

For a vegan alternative, swap the egg white for aquafaba when making the icing.
